Fit to Work teaches strengthening and conditioning exercises available to handlers to maintain an injury-free mission ready partner. Just as professional athletes regularly work with trainers and sports medicine experts, working canines are susceptible to similar types of stresses and should also condition to protect against injury.

The class is designed for dogs of all ages and all fitness levels (exercises will be adapted as necessary for individual needs). Although no previous training experience is required, the class is taught in a group setting, therefore dogs must be able to work around other dogs on leash.

Teaching is based on positive reward techniques, be sure to bring plenty of small tasty treats and don’t feed your dog prior to class. If your dog prefers toys to treats, bring his/her favorite toys.
