This seminar is designed for beginner and advanced Human Remains Detection K9s looking to enhance their land and water search skills. K9 teams will have the opportunity to rotate through different stations where they will work shoreline problems, search from a boat, and participate in land/wilderness scenarios. All stations will be adapted for each dog’s individual skill level.

  • Train your dog to pinpoint victim’s location in bodies of water
  • Learn how scent reacts in water
  • Understand decomposition of drowning victims and how it impacts your search
  • Indication stations
  • Learn how vegetation impacts odor
  • Field work exercises will be geared to the individual level of each team.
  • 1:5 instructor ratio
